iRun Downtown 5K FREE Training!

Are you training for The Greenville New Run Downtown?
Want a FREE group to run with?

iRun Greenville

Hello iRunners!

There’s lots of running in store this weekend.  No group run on Saturday as LOTs of us will be running in the Greenville News 5K.  Our group photographer will be on board to take a group picture, so if you’re running and want to commemorate the day be at the fountain in front of the Peace Center (intersection of Main and Broad) around 8:30 Saturday morning.  I will be running with my company’s corporate shield team and he’ll be snapping our pic, so just line up and he’ll get to us after that.  If you have other group pictures you’d like (TTI, Concentrix??) just be there and Bob will be happy to oblige.  Good luck to all that are running!

If you’re interested in a long run or walk/run join us on Sunday at ICAR and enjoy breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  The group will start at 7:30 AM.  The ICAR loop is about 5 miles, so two times makes 10 miles.

Last but certainly not least - Congratulations to 4 members of iRun on recent additions to their family.  Tracy and Scott Anderson welcomed Shepard Powell Anderson on January 3.  Mic and Tom Landry welcomed Joshua Michael Landry on January 4.  Johnny “O” and his wife Karen welcomed Claire Finely Olson on January 6.  And just yesterday Penny Vargus and her wife Amanda welcomed Josephine Winifred.  Our best wishes to them all.

Happy Running!

Hope I get to see you all this Saturday!

iRun is a free training group created within Run In!  The goal of the group is to have fun, meet new & interesting people, eat a ton of food, crack jokes on one another, and squeeze a long run or two in there.  The group meets every Saturday morning in the greater Greenville area for a long run ranging anywhere from 1 to 20+ miles depending on the training cycles.  You do not have to sign up, just show up with your shoes laced up and a smile on your face. Run happy everyone!
